Early Career Academy
Tampa, Fla. (April 21, 2014) ��� The Early Career Academy ("ECA"), a new public charter high school, announces its opening at the ITT Technical Institute in Tampa. Enrollment for incoming eleventh-grade students is now open. Classes for the 2014-2015 academic year will begin in August 2014.
"The Early Career Academy provides a unique opportunity for high school students in Hillsborough County to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree from ITT Technical Institute in Network System Administration or Software Development," states Dr. E. Eugene Webb, Chairman and President of the Tampa ECA Board of Directors.
The Early Career Academy will be located at the ITT Technical Institute in Tampa. Tampa ECA Executive Director Dr. Thomas Gay says, "The Early Career Academy was developed in response to the community's need for a technologically skilled workforce and increased educational attainment opportunities."
Dr. Gay continues, "The Early Career Academy, in its collaborative relationship with ITT Technical Institute, offers a rich, career-related curriculum where high school juniors and seniors may earn a high school diploma and an associate degree at no tuition cost. We are excited about the opportunities available to Early Career Academy students as they engage in a career-related academic program coupled with a hands-on learning environment."
The first Open House will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the ITT Technical Institute located at 4809 Memorial Highway, Tampa, FL 33634.
